	Nicky’s World is a Center in Tarzana, California for limited and non-verbal communicators and their families. With focus on education, leisure/social programs and support groups, its mission is to give voice to limited communicators through community. Individual classes for developing literacy and communication skills help to forge the way for improved curriculum, programs and employment. This enables limited communicators to move towards an independent future in a life with meaning. It is a Center for the family and each family’s input and participation helps shape the future of Nicky’s World.
	Nicky's World is the first Community of it's kind! It focuses on the challenges of all limited and non-verbal communicators in order to access resolutions to support them in the mainstream of a quality life. Whether the difficulty or inability to produce voice is caused by physiologic issues (Cerebral Palsy, ALS, Muscular Dystrophy) or associated neurological diagnoses (Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Downs syndrome, Apraxia, etc.), Nicky’s World supports the family and the individual. Our program includes leisure and educational classes (yoga, movement, dance, gardening, literacy, typing, art etc.), support groups, professional workshops and presentations, and the platform to create demand for improved curriculum, programs, opportunities and teaching to those in need.
